Help Your Kids NOTICE Their Emotions Sooner with THIS Simple Story!

Oct 22, 2024

Hey there,

Do you ever feel like your child’s emotions are a bit too big and come on a bit too fast? One minute they're calm, and the next, they’re in full meltdown mode. We've all been there!

While there are many heart-based strategies we need to employ in situations like these, it all starts with helping children notice their emotions sooner. For many children, this is a HUGE challenge. So in this week's video, I'm giving you the perfect story to tell your kids to help them start noticing their emotions sooner.

Using this simple story, you’ll be able to teach your kids three important biblical truths about emotions:

  • There are no good or bad emotions since they are all signals for our hearts

  • We need to recognize emotional signals early

  • We need to take action when we receive a signal

God made your child exactly as they are, and that incudes their big emotions. God doesn't want your child to lose those feelings. Instead, He wants to help your child know how to navigate those feelings so He can work through them to extend His kingdom throughout the world.

So check out this week's video and get ready to share this story with your kids. You'll be so glad that you did.

All my best,

B.J.
